Ringing The Bell

Oh boy, here I go….. God guide and help me, I’m yours!

Remember when the Sugar Free and Diet products came out? People everywhere jumped on the bandwagon seeking products containing those refreshing words. We thought FINALLY, a product that makes things taste great so we can have our cake, eat it and stay skinny. We can have it all! WOOHOO!!!

Image

Nobody wanted to hear the four evil words “it’s bad for you.” Most everyone was skeptical of the skeptics who started making the insane claims about our favorite thing. Finally though, people have woken up and realized it was too good to be true. The thousands of tests performed have concluded, this fake sugar has caused a ridiculous amount of health issues and an astounding number of deaths.

FAKE can resemble REAL in every way. It can look, sound, feel, taste, and smell like the real deal, but something is off.

AGONIZING DRUM ROLL……………….

#1 The one who initially turned my world upside down was Rob Bell. Yes, I just called out a false teacher, a man replacing the true gospel with a fake feel good, everything goes diet gospel. After much prayer, Mr. Bell will kick off the bluk in this blog.

****(PLEASE NOTE AND UNDERSTAND…. Some things I say in an attempt to make the bluk less yuck may seem to make light of the calling out and I assure you, my heart does not take joy in this, nor do I wish anything but repentance and forgiveness for them.)

Words That Fly Off the Page When Rob Bell Is Typed In The Search Line

*Emergent CLICK LINK. THIS VIDEO IS WAY LONG, BUT COMPLETELY INFORMATIVE ON THE ENTIRE CHURCH MOVEMENT, Click on the link when you have time.

*Velvet Elvis/Sex God/Love Wins, Nooma???? Um, I think I’ll let you seek the quotes from the books/videos yourself.

So, what in the world does any of that have to do with the Bible, with Jesus?

Rob Bell Defending himself CLICK LINK

I would like to start with this video, because it is Rob Bell defending himself from numerous people’s attacks on his beliefs. He ends the video with a very witty and quick remark about “it’s best to only discuss books you’ve actually read.”

I cautiously say this next remark, but I truly wonder whether Mr. Bell has really read the Bible? I mean no disrespect, but his doctrine is starkly and remarkably different from the context of my Bible. If he does read more than one verse at a time, how can he tear it apart so far as to remove the entire truth of the story, parable and consistent points being made by the author? He takes truth and somehow through brilliant words from his copious vocabulary transforms it in to a lie. It’s the darndest thing.

Here is a made up scenario, but this is an example of how Bell plays with words: God is good, so good is God. If you do good, you are God. HUH?? That is complete nonsense. That’s like saying… Dogs are loud, loud are dogs. If you are loud, you are a dog.????? That’s called deep thinking yourself off a cliff and analyzing to the point of insanity. Instead of padded rooms for these deep thinkers, they have podiums and a massive following.

*** It really is sad how many people, think…. Wow, that is so deep instead of wow, that’s a black sheep!

Way back in earth’s get-go… the serpent described in Genesis did the same thing to Eve. Satan completely twisted God’s Words and Eve and Adam fell for it and it cost them/us BIG TIME!

This Next Video Says It All way better than I can

Amazing Explanation of Mr. Bell’s teaching. CLICK LINK. This pastor does an EXCELLENT job point out what I am trying to say. 😀

This next video should make your skin crawl! Rob Bell Comparing God to a Clunker Car CLICK LINK – I’m really not even sure what to say about this one. A few quotes by Rob in this video: “God is a bit like Oldsmobiles.” “Is God going to be left behind like Oldsmobiles? I don’t think so, because I believe there are other ways, better ways of talking about God and understanding God…..”????

I’m trying to follow his logic in any way possible, but when testing this creative twist with the Word, I don’t believe a new way of speaking or understanding God will make God survive unlike an Oldsmobile. The two cannot be compared! It’s simply Nuts.

1 Corinthians 4:1-5   1 Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.

On so many levels, this video is scary. It lowers God down to our level, even lower than a dog, my goodness, he really went there and compared God to a clunker car named The Sled. His preaching makes it sound like WHAT WOULD GOD DO WITH OUT US? Callmecrazee, but I don’t think God needs us in any way shape or form. If He can think and breathe anything in to existence… I think He’s got it under control.

This is not an accidental whoops on a message or two. This is the central theme of his sermons, books, videos and purpose… to promote man and to demote God. No thank you, Mr. Bell. I pray you stop tooting your own horn and your wake up bell gets rung before it’s too late.

!!! A Final and Important Note, the one God used to WAKE ME UP and change my path completely !!!

The Bible foretold of Rob Bell, check this out!!!

In his book, Velvet Elvis: According to Mr. Bell there are two ways to approach scripture: either as a “brick” or a “spring”. The brick approach to doctrine is solid, unmoving and unchanging and has no life. It is considered the wrong approach. A spring has life and is flexible. It is constantly changing, going with the flow and changing as technology and people change.

2 Peter 2:1-3 1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping…………………………………….

2 Peter 2:17-21 17 These people are “SPRINGS without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. 18 For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. 19 They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.” 20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.

ROB BELL’S DOCTRINE IS A SPRING WITH NO WATER. IT IS FAKE AND WORTHLESS WITH NO VALUE.

The Truth may be harder to swallow, but only one will save us. EYES OPEN!

I pray the Holy Spirit makes clear what I may mess up.

Calling People Out

Posted on

Too many times to count as I have been led down this path, people have cautioned me to turn back and not to call people out. Believe you me, I have torn scripture apart analyzing what God says about this. I have also spent countless hours in prayer asking for guidance, verifying my heart was not judgmental but discerning, and asking Him numerous times to just let me off the hook and take this ridiculously heavy burden off of me.

I would much rather believe all the people of this world were kind and lovely fellows made of sugar handing out lollipops, but I guess Naive’land is not where He wants me to reside. Speaking of hooks, God does not respond well when people ignore what they are called to do and He’s most certainly creative in the consequences. My goodness, Jonah was swallowed by a huge fish and then vomited out because he ran from his calling. I would prefer to avoid that scenario all together, considering the smell of fish brings up my yesterday’s lunch.

 Image

I totally understand and have fear of calling people out that we are not supposed to because they bother us or they do something we do not understand. The Bible strongly cautions us in this area:

Matthew 7:1-3 “Judge not, lest you be judged…..” BUT in John 7:24 it says, ” Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgement.”

I picture scriptures like a cross on the floor in the middle of a room. We are to walk across it one foot after the other pulling from the right side of the room when the situation calls for it and from the left when another opposite situation arises. It depends on the situation, the people, the heart and the time. Sometimes, it is wonderful to turn up the radio and dance; however, this would be slightly inappropriate while in a court room on jury duty.

Image

The Bible also says in Psalms 105:15, “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.” BUT it also says in 1 John 2:4, “The man who says, ‘I know him’ but does not do what he commands is a liar and the truth is not in him… and verse 6 says “Whoever claims to live in him, must walk as Jesus did.”

Many believe no matter what you are not supposed to speak out against a pastor. If a pastor is doing and saying things opposite of scripture, it is our duty to call them out. In 2 Timothy 2, Paul calls out two teachers Hymenaeus and Philestus who wandered away from the truth and were destroying the faith of some. Speaking of deceiving spirits in 1 Timothy 4, Paul says “If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed”.

To follow are just some of the scriptures which tell us to Be Alert, Test Everything and to Build each other up in Love and Truth.

Matthew 7:15-23; Matthew 24:10; Mark 22:23; Acts 20:25-31; Romans 16:17-18; Galatians 1:6-9; Colossians 2:8,18-19; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; 1 Timothy 1:3-7; 1 Timothy 1:18-20; 1 Timothy 4:1-8,16; 1 Timothy 5:3-10; 1 Timothy 6:20-21; 2 Timothy 2:14-18; 2 Timothy 3:1-9; 2 Timothy 4:1-5; Titus 1:9-16; 2 Peter 2:1-22; 2 Peter 3:14-18; 1 John 1:18-27; 1 John 4:1-6; 2 John 7-11; Jude 3-19

The point of all of this is clarity on why I have such a strong conviction to share what I have discovered about many people, books, churches, life… basically, deception in general. This conviction is by far not my choice, I would really prefer to get a route canal, but God generally does not call us to our comfort zone.

Galations 1:10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Like I said, a blog about a lot of bluk…

In Christ’s love,
